题 目:Dynamics of Almost Periodic Scalar Parabolic Equations on the Circle
摘 要:In this talk, we focus on an almost periodic spatially-homogeneous scalar reaction-diffusion equation on the circle. The structure of the minimal set M is thoroughly investigated under the assumption that its associated center space is no more than 2-dimensional. Such situation naturally occurs while, for instance, M is hyperbolic or uniquely ergodic. We show that M is a 1-cover provided that M is hyperbolic. If dimV^c(M)=1, then either M is an almost 1-cover of H(f); or can be embedded into an almost periodically forced circle-flow. This new phenomena we discovered here reinforces the possible appearance of the almost periodically forced circle flow in infinite-dimensional dynamical systems generated by certain evolutionary equations. This is a joint work with Wenxian Shen and Dun Zhou.

报告题目:On cycle coverings and matching coverings (Co-work with Hong-Jian Lai and Cun-Quan Zhang)
摘 要:A perfect matching covering of a graph G is a set of perfect matchings of G such that every edge of G is contained in at least one member of it. Berge conjectured that every bridgeless cubic graph admits a perfect matching covering of order at most five (we call such a collection of perfect matchings a Berge covering of G). A cubic graph G is called a Kotzig graph if G has a 3-edgecoloring such that each pair of colors form a hamiltonian circuit (introduced by H¨aggkvist and Markstr¨om, JCTB 2006). In this paper, we prove that if there is a vertex w of a cubic graph G such that G − w, the graph obtained from G − w by suppressing all degree two vertices, is a Kotzig graph, then G has a Berge covering. We also obtain some results concerning the so-called 5-evensubgraph double cover conjecture.

王毅教授简介:
2002年7月于中国科技大学数学系获博士学位;2002年9月—2005年2月芬兰赫尔辛基/图尔库大学作博士后;随后回科大工作(2005.2任副教授,2010.6任教授、博士生导师)。2007年8月—2008年5月美国乔治亚理工学院数学学院访问副教授;2012年9—12月应邀访问美国明尼苏达大学IMA研究所。先后入选全国百篇优秀博士论文、教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划。目前主要感兴趣领域为非线性微分方程,无限维动力系统及生物数学。
侯新民副教授简介:
2002年毕业于大连理工大学,获理学博士学位。2002至2004 中国科学技术大学数学系博士后,同年8月留校。主要研究方向为组合与图论。参与和主持多项国家自然科学基金。
