报告题目:Heavy quarks dynamics in heavy ion collisions

报告摘要:

Heavy quarks are excellent probes of the evolution of the medium created in relativistic heavy ion collisions. As a matter of fact, they do not affect drastically the medium in which they propagate, namely the quark-gluon plasma, on the other hand they can interact with the latter by collisional and radiative processes and gain information on the quark-gluon plasma itself. In this talk, I review some of the recent results about heavy quarks in heavy ion collisions, obtained mainly within the relativistic transport theory and/or a stochastic dynamics approach based on the Langevin equation.

报告人简介:

Santosh Kumar Das, Ph.D. graduated from Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre in 2012 with the thesis “Heavy Flavor Production and Propagation in Heavy Ion Collision”. After his graduation, He started his postdoc career in INFN-LNS. During the postdoc career, he was awarded the Seal of excellence from European Commission. From Dec. 2017 to Aug. 2018 He worked in Lanzhou University as an associate professor. In 2018, he got the assistant professor position in Indian Institute of Technology. His research interests are Heavy-ion Collisions, QCD at High Temperature, Application ofTransport Theory.
