报告题目：Solving the Mysteries of the Universe

What is space-time? How was space created? Why the Universe expands? What is the origin of matter and life? In modern science the space and time, i.e. the Universe, were presumed to begin from fluctuations in 10 dimensional space-time to which the quantum mechanics applies. Elementary particles and nuclei, i.e. the matter, were produced in the Big-Bang Universe and inside the stars. Massive stars culminate their evolution in supernova explosion, and the supernova takes the key of the origin of life. In this lecture we will discuss how these macroscopic and microscopic worlds are related tightly through the fundamental laws of physics.
Prof. Taka Kajno received his PhD in theoretical nuclear physics from the University of Tokyo in 1984. He is a professor at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan since 1993 and professor at the University of Tokyo since 1994. He became a foreign expert supported by “One Thousand Talents Plan” program in 2016, and became a distinguished professor at Beihang University in 2017.
